The Perfume of Things That Want to Live

2022 – ongoing

This series, who’s title is a quote from the novel Luster by Raven Leilani, takes used perfume bottles and cosmetics and replaces branded elements with found text, from sources such as Pilates manuals, Whitepapers, Quora, interviews with factory workers, and more. The works reframe texts from across contemporary life and transforms them into isolated moments, folded into intimate rituals performed in preparation for going out into the world.
